The Portland Winter Lights Festival is a beloved annual celebration that transforms Portland’s darkest winter nights into a vibrant, glowing experience of art, community, and creativity. Featuring illuminated art installations, interactive light sculptures, and neighborhood-based activations, the festival invites people of all ages to explore the city after dark in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

Produced by the Willamette Light Brigade, the festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and showcases local artists while encouraging exploration of Portland’s diverse neighborhoods. By bringing light, art, and people together during the winter season, the Portland Winter Lights Festival fosters connection, supports small businesses, and celebrates Portland’s creative spirit when it’s needed most.

While Mechan 42 is here, let’s light up all of Parkrose—literally! The Parkrose Glow Up is our community campaign to brighten the neighborhood, boost spirit, and help reduce crime by lighting up our streets and storefronts. A little glow goes a long way toward making Parkrose feel warm, welcoming, and safe for everyone.

We’re asking neighbors, businesses, and friends to pitch in by donating new strands of lights and extension cords of any length.

Drop off lights at the Historic Parkrose office Tues-Thurs from 10am-4pm or text/call 503-964-7807 to schedule.

Every strand helps us turn Parkrose into a shining, connected, joy-filled community space. Let’s glow up together this winter!
