Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative (NPI)
Historic Parkrose is organized through the Neighborhood Prosperity Initiative (NPI). NPI is a powerful, one-of-a-kind opportunity offered by the City of Portland to transform our underserved commercial district into an engine of economic and community development. The NPI is a public/private partnership and is a key component of the City’s Portland Plan and Neighborhood Economic Development Strategy. The NPI program gives the Parkrose Community tools and support to change and improve our neighborhood ourselves.

Sources of Project & Operational Funds
An estimated $1,000,000 in investment funds over 7-10 years through city tax increment funding (TIF) will provide capital improvements in Parkrose for brick and mortar projects. Portland Development Commission (PDC) anticipates providing an annual grant of $30,000 to match annual community fundraising to employ our local revitalization manager.
