A sweet farewell to Mingus, our Executive Director and the search for the new ED of Historic Parkrose!
For the last 3+ years, Mingus Mapps has walked the Historic Parkrose District 5 days a week on a mission to create revitalization, build community, increase public safety, support local businesses by offering grants for storefront improvement and so much more. Mingus took this vision of our non profit and turned it into a high functioning office that has offered over $100,000 in grant dollars to make Parkrose businesses thrive. Under his leadership, Historic Parkrose successfully created the Taste of Parkrose with Parkrose Hardware and turned it in to a massive gathering. With Mingus leading the way we had many other successes like implementing a community policing program that has decreased crime in target areas by 25%! Mingus is a wonderful person who has majorly impacted our neighborhood in a positive way and we are forever grateful! He has accepted a position with The City of Portland and we are excited to continue to work with Mingus to strengthen Portland businesses and communities together.
The Board of Historic Parkrose is excited to welcome a new Executive Director! See the job posting below and follow the instructions for submitting resumes.
